Mother’s day is in a week and I can’t sleep for thinking about mothers. I have many times thought of writing this blog for mothers but I didn’t want my blog to be gender specific. I try not to voice my opinions but to state the fact and let you come to your own conclusion.
I am concerned that not enough is being done to prepare for the inevitable. I read various articles from a number of prints and I try to let the people that follow me get a quick view of the things that I feel is important. Water and Food are the most important things for life and I feel that you can not build upon Maslow theory unless one starts there. What would you do if there are natural catastrophes? Mothers would you have the means to take care of you children. Have you prepared enough food and do you have the appropriate water filtration system.
Mothers, I have a little kit that I put together in my car. It has candles and some energy bars. There are also lint from my dryer. You may ask why. Lint is great to use to start fires. There are water bottles, compass, fishing hooks and string. Flares, magnifying glass, space age blankets, and medical supplies. The list can and does go on but you can make it with these items. Do you have a grab and go bag for each member of the family. Have you talked about where you would meet or who the contact person (distant relative) that you might call. You may feel that it will never get that bad. Well, in the Good Book it talks about a time when people will have to flee where ever they may be. It states that if you are on the roof working that you are to come down and don’t even go back in the house to get your things. I presuppose that one should be ready.
I write this to all the beautiful mothers that have prepared the way for you and your family for many generation. This is a call to wake up. WAKE UP YOU MOTHERS!!!
I know many of you have husbands or significant others but I plead with you, for the sake of the children, that you do not wait. Men have negated the important things, family and loved ones. It’s like sports, cars and games (I never saw so many grown men playing video games) have lulled our men to sleep. This is not an indictment of men. I just call it as I see it. It is not the men that have the maternal instinct to take care of the family. God has placed this in the heart of women, mothers.
Men might be the head but mothers you are the neck in which the head turns on. You have a lot of power. Use it to protect you and your family. Plant food that you can survive on. Learn to can again. Work for your very survival. I no with the economy things are hard. For many of you there is no extra income coming in. Start where you are. Place a zip bag on you dryer so you can fill it with lint. Then place that in a grab and go bag or in your car. Grab your husband fishing hooks and string and put it in a coffee can and place in the trunk of your car. Did you hear of the guy and his lady that went of the road and was covered by snow for almost a month?
We will probably see another economic turn down. You can’t keep printing money and think that all is going to be well. It isn’t sound economics. My daughter, who works in an emergency room, told me that they are laying off over a hundred people. Mothers don’t think that income that you receive right now will be there. Start building your own business from home.
I have placed a link below from msociety that I think will help you get started towards that endeavor. Copy and Paste to your browser.
